Each song a story, a small universe unto itself; the plot twists, the river bends.
The Deacon Raleigh St. James Band is in a situation with funk rock, smokes with punk, hip-hugs honkytonk, and gets sprinkled with psychedelia. Deacon Raleigh is a homegrown singer-songwriter, self taught on guitar. The bucolic Snoqualmie Valley and greater Seattle area; his playground. A painter, poet and pain in the ass father of four, a teacher. Molding young minds. Good luck getting rid of that mold.
Doug McGrew, a NW native, is one of the most sought after session players, playing full time in the Seattle area and across the nation. His extensive list of credits include touring with Geoff Tate (Queensryche), drumming for Charlie Huhn (played with Foghat, Humble Pie, and Ted Nugent), touring with Supersuckers, Albritton McClain (Bridge of Souls), Michael Manring (Independent), Roger Fisher (Heart), Chris Degarmo, Mike Wilton (Queenscryche), Frank Hannon (Tesla), Joe Shikany (Paul Rogers Band) and Michael Powers, John Raymond (Kenny G) and many other bands. Doug studied drums at Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle.
Residing in the Seattle area, Lynn Sorensen performs with a very wide variety of artists and produces many acts out of his studio, Vampire Luvsongs. Lynn spent four years with Bad Company and can be seen performing on two of their DVD’s, Live At Wembley and Hard Rock Live. He spent 11 years with the Paul Rodgers Band and can be seen on Paul’s DVD Live In Glasgow which went #1 in the UK and Canada and #3 in the US. Lynn owns and operates the mobile recording studio Tuta. PAST PROJECTS: Lynn recorded two records with founding HEART members Roger Fisher and Mike Derosier with the band, Clever Bastards; Lynn has worked with Sir-Mix-A-Lot and his apprentice, Mike Singleton, on their project, Outtasite.
